Role overview
This individual will own, lead generation and business development for the vessel, building a strong pipeline of shippers, transporters, and logistics partners while driving deals from first contact through to close. The role calls for someone equally comfortable identifying new market opportunities and closing high-value client relationships at the ownership/executive level.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify new business leads within the shipping, logistics, and cargo transport sectors
- Build and maintain a robust network of contacts across transporters, traders, manufacturers, and relief/aid organizations
- Secure meetings with, and influence decisions of, senior and owner-level leadership within client organizations
- Identify viable business opportunities and design workable, tailored freight solutions for prospective clients
- Drive the full sales cycle independently from prospecting to negotiation to deal closure
- Represent the company professionally in the market, reinforcing a credible, polished brand presence.
Candidate Profile
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, or project cargo management
- Proven track record of closing deals and growing a client portfolio
- Excellent, advanced verbal and written communication skills; confident presenting to senior executives and owners
- An established network of contacts within the shipping/logistics/trade community in Tanzania
- Highly self-motivated with a genuine hunger for pursuing leads and uncovering new business
- Strong commercial instincts — able to spot opportunities others miss and translate them into practical solutions
