Tanzania pharmacy internship registration: documents and next steps

Tanzania’s Pharmacy Council publishes instructions for provisional registration as an intern pharmacist. Its guidance is a useful starting point for preparing documents, but you should check the council’s current process, fees and intake dates before submitting an application.

Match your names and records

The council asks applicants to register names as they appear on secondary education certificates and provide index numbers where prompted. Check the spelling and order against your documents before submitting. If your records differ, ask the council what evidence or correction it requires.

Gather the documents listed

The published list includes certified secondary education records, a pharmaceutical sciences award certificate, a full academic transcript certified by the academic officer or relevant academic body, and a certified birth certificate or passport. Advanced secondary documents are requested where applicable. Read the complete current list, including any additional requirements for your circumstances.

Apply through the council

The council’s page links to its online application system and instructions. Confirm that the link opens the official council service, and keep a copy of your submission or reference. Ask the council about current fees and approved payment methods instead of sending money to a person who promises registration.

Provisional registration, internship placement and a job offer are different steps. Confirm with the council what approval permits you to do, where you may train and what requirements apply after the internship.
