Boiler Operator

Job Description

efficiency by adjusting, reading, and interpreting gauges, indicators, and steam flow meters.

Maintains oil heaters, pumps, oil storage and gas distribution facilities and equipment.

Operates steam plant as situation warrants on natural gas, or WHRB.

Observes boiler plant operations through use of electronic or pneumatic controls, pressure gauges, and safety devices.

Supervises or performs the chemical testing and treatment of boiler feed water.

Maintains various records and reports relative to steam plant operations.

Makes regular checks of plant equipment and makes adjustments, repairs, and services equipment as required.

Follows the instructions as given by the Reporting Officer.Operates and adjusts high pressure gas, oil, and WHR boilers in the steam generating plant.
