Chiller Operator

Job Description

Operate and monitor chiller plant equipment, including centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers.

Record operational data such as pressure, temperature, and flow rates.

Inspect equipment, identify malfunctions, and troubleshoot issues to prevent breakdowns.

Perform routine maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, valves, and associated systems.

Start and stop chiller equipment according to load demands and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Maintain proper water treatment and chemical levels to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Optimize system performance to ensure energy efficiency.

Maintain accurate logs and records of daily operations, maintenance activities, and system performance.

Coordinate with chiller technicians and supervisors for repairs and system upgrades.

Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Comply with environmental regulations and company policies.
