Responsibilities
- Provide field-service support, troubleshooting & repair of heavy equipment at customer locations.
- Inspect & diagnose engines, powertrain, hydraulics, braking, steering & undercarriage.
- Use manufacturer diagnostic software & service information for approved repair procedures.
- Carry out onsite repairs, adjustments & component removal & installation.
- Respond to breakdowns with clear findings, repair recommendations, parts needs & estimated completion time.
- Complete field-service reports & customer sign-off, support warranty inspections & escalate repeat failures.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Engineer), or Diploma, FTC or trade certificate in Mechanical, Automotive or Heavy Equipment Engineering (Technician).
- 5-7 years' experience in heavy equipment service.
- Heavy mining or construction equipment experience is a must.
- Valid driving licence.
- Strong field troubleshooting, customer communication & safe tool-use skills.
- Able to travel to customer sites & respond to planned & emergency service calls.
