About this role
Responsibilities
- Train new recruits, guards, supervisors & managers through induction, refresher & site-specific training
- Study each new client’s business & operating environment, & develop training that matches the security risks of that site & industry
- Train employees on security procedures, conduct, communication, reporting, emergency response & technology
- Prepare & conduct written, practical & scenario-based assessments, recommend PASS or FAIL, & never certify anyone who is not competent
- Maintain accurate attendance, test, assessment & certification records, & track refresher training
- Identify recurring weaknesses & employees needing extra training, & work with Operations so guards understand the real risks at each site
- Develop new training methods, practical scenarios & materials, research new security practices & technology, & build supervisor & leadership training

Requirements
- 1. Diploma or degree in Security Management, Education, Training or a related field
- Proven experience in security operations & in training or instructing security personnel
- Recognised trainer or instructor certification (e.g. Training of Trainers)
- Strong knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, incident reporting & security technology
- Ability to design, deliver & assess practical, scenario-based training
- Strong communication, presentation & leadership skills
- Strong record keeping, research ability & integrity to certify only competent personnel
