1.12.2 Duties and Responsibilities
I. This is a training post; the staff is required to undergo a Master’s Degree training
programme.
II. Undergo an induction course in pedagogical skills for those who had none
before.
III. Understudy senior members, including attending lectures, seminars, tutorials
and practical training.
IV. To conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals.
V. Assist in research, consultancies and outreach activities.
VI. To perform any other duties that the relevant authorities may assign.
1.12.3 Qualifications and Experience
Holder of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Nursing Education or Bachelor of Science
in Nursing or Midwifery with a GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from any recognized University.
Applicants must hold a valid registration and license to practice issued by the Tanzania
Nursing and Midwifery Council or any other recognized Licensing Body.
1.12.4 Remuneration - PUTS 1.1

GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania with an age not above 45 years;
ii. An applicant with special needs/case (disability) is supposed/advised to
indicate for UDOM attention.
iii. Applicants employed in the Public Service are strictly not allowed to apply;
they should adhere to Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 of 30th November,
2010;
iv. An applicant whose employment in the Public Service was terminated for
whatever reason should NOT apply;
v. An applicant who is retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should

viii. Applicants must attach their certified copies of the following certificates:-
• PhD/Master/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates;
• PhD/Master/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma transcripts;
• Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;
• Professional Registration and Training Certificates from respective
Registration or Regulatory Bodies, (where applicable);
• Birth certificate;
ix. Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted: -
• Form IV and form VI results slips;
• Testimonials and all Partial transcripts;
x. An applicant must upload recent Passport Size Photo in the Recruitment Portal;
xi. An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable
contacts;
xii. Certificates from foreign Secondary Education should be verified by the
National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
xiii. Certificates from foreign Universities should have a GPA calculated (out of five
(5) grade points) by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
xiv. A signed application letter should be written either in Swahili or English and
Addressed to Vice Chancellor, University of Dodoma (UDOM), and P.O. Box
259, Dodoma.
