Electrician

Job Description

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, control systems, and electrical installations in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

Diagnose electrical faults, identify root causes, and perform timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable operation.

Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards, company policies, and statutory electrical codes.

Read, interpret, and work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, emergencies, and maintenance requests to restore operations efficiently.

Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems as required.

Maintain electrical tools, testing instruments, and equipment in good working condition and ensure their safe use.

Accurately record maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance in maintenance logs and reports.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.

Recommend improvements to enhance electrical system reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
