Machine Operator Cum Electrician

Job Description

Feed raw materials into hydraulic baling presses in accordance with established operating procedures.

Operate compaction controls and monitor machine cycles to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation.

Tie, wire, weigh, and properly label finished bales for storage and transportation.

Inspect finished bales to ensure they meet required weight, size, and packaging specifications.

Identify and safely clear material jams and blockages in accordance with established procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area around the baling equipment.

Conduct basic checks of the baling press and promptly report equipment abnormalities or breakdowns.

Diagnose electrical faults in control panels, motors, sensors, switches, wiring, and related electrical equipment.

Repair or replace faulty electrical components, including switches, fuses, relays, sensors, and wiring.

Perform routine electrical inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable equipment operation.

Follow approved electrical safety procedures when carrying out maintenance and repairs.

Strictly comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before commencing electrical maintenance or repair work.

Maintain proper records of electrical maintenance, repairs, faults, and replaced components.

Report recurring electrical faults and recommend corrective measures to the relevant supervisor.
