Mechanical Technician - Line Technician

Job Description

Maintain and ensure reliable operation of production lines, including fillers, rinsers, cappers, labellers, conveyors, packaging machines, and related mechanical equipment.

Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns, diagnose root causes, repair or replace defective components, and minimize production downtime.

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, inspection, lubrication, adjustment, servicing, and replacement of mechanical components in accordance with maintenance plans and manufacturer recommendations.

Perform mechanical machine adjustments, settings, and changeovers to accommodate different bottle sizes, products, and packaging formats while ensuring smooth line start-up.

Maintain mechanical equipment used in bottled-water production, including pumps, valves, pipelines, filters, conveyors, filling systems, and other associated machinery.

Monitor equipment performance, identify recurring faults, participate in root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements to increase machine availability, efficiency, and OEE.

Identify required spare parts, use maintenance tools correctly, maintain tools and equipment in good condition, and ensure proper control and utilization of maintenance materials.

Accurately record breakdowns, downtime, preventive maintenance, repairs, spare parts used, and corrective actions, and provide proper shift handovers and maintenance reports to the Supervisor.

Any other duties assigned by superior in production line.
