Requirements and responsibilities
Job Description
• Ensure machine safety systems and personnel safety interlocks are functional and in place.
• Report equipment abnormalities and breakdowns immediately to the Reporting Officer.
• Communicate requirements for electrical consumables and spare parts to the Reporting Officer or Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Ensure the safe custody of tools, machine components, and change parts.
• Take responsibility for machine parts and components during mould changes, maintenance activities, and machine idle periods.
• Ensure machine maintenance and operating requirements comply with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to Good Housekeeping (GHK) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as applicable.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures and company safety policies.
• Ensure machine safety devices and personnel protection interlocks are maintained.
• Understand and follow the correct procedures for using fire extinguishers.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions and electrical hazards to the Reporting Officer.
• Follow all instructions and operational guidelines issued by the Reporting Officer and Supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to assigned shift reporting times and break schedules.
• Do not leave the assigned machine or work area without proper handover and permission from the Reporting Officer.
• Ensure effective communication during shift handovers, including pending maintenance work and machine breakdown status.
• Maintain timely communication with the Reporting Officer regarding breakdowns, maintenance activities, and consumable requirements.
• Take responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during the assigned shift.
• Manage and coordinate manpower effectively to ensure smooth maintenance operations.
• Support team members in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Accept the reassignment or rotation of responsibilities and work locations as required by operational needs.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time during the employment period.
