Job application tracker: closing dates and interviews in one place

Keep every job you've saved or applied for in one list, with closing dates and the day to follow up. It stays on your device, and you can export it.

This tool runs only in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. No signup. Your work stays in this browser until you delete it.

Add the jobs you apply for and set a follow-up date. What needs chasing shows here.

Add an application

For example: call HR on Monday

Closing dates come fast. On 1 November 2026, 60 of the 604 open adverts on Work.tz closed within seven days. Add a job when you see it, and the tracker tells you what closes soon and who you should follow up with today.

What to write down for each job

On the Ajira Portal, write down the post exactly as advertised too. If you're called for several posts or stages, this is how you keep them apart.

  • The post and employer, with the reference number if there is one.
  • The closing date, copied from the notice.
  • The link to the original advert, and the portal you used.
  • The version of the CV and letter you sent.
  • When to follow up and who to ask.

When to follow up

Follow up with a company about a week or two after the closing date if the advert gives a contact. For public service posts, notices say only shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview date, so check your portal account and the official lists rather than calling around. Our shortlist guide shows how.

Your list belongs to you

Your list is saved in this browser only, and we can't see it. If you clear your browser data or change phones it goes, so export the CSV file now and then.

Questions people ask

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It works on a phone browser. The list stays on that phone, and doesn't move to your computer by itself.

Does it remind me?

It doesn't send messages. It shows what's due when you open the page, so open it when you job hunt.

How do I move my list to another device?

Use Export to CSV. The file opens in a spreadsheet, and you can keep it there instead.
