Lab Line Chemist

Job Description

Perform routine physical, chemical, and quality control tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products in accordance with established procedures and specifications.

Monitor production processes and quality parameters to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with required standards.

Collect, prepare, and analyse samples accurately and record test results in a timely and systematic manner.

Identify quality deviations, abnormalities, and non-conformities and report them promptly to the relevant supervisor or Quality Department.

Conduct calibration, verification, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date laboratory records, test reports, calibration records, and other required documentation.

Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, quality standards, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and applicable health and safety requirements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment at all times.

Provide timely and accurate quality control results to support production activities and decision-making.

Assist in investigations of product quality issues, deviations, and non-conformities and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory samples, chemicals, and waste in accordance with established procedures.

Collaborate with Production and other relevant departments to resolve quality-related issues and maintain product quality.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
