Operator-Palletizer

Job Description

Operate the console that controls the automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack finished product containers onto pallets.

Read and interpret production schedules, delivery schedules, and stacking patterns to determine sorting and transfer procedures, pallet arrangements, and pallet destinations.

Monitor packages moving along the conveyor to identify products, detect defective packaging, and operate console controls to divert defective packages to reject lines or direct products to the appropriate accumulator.

Operate the palletizer selector switch to control stacking patterns and transfer loaded pallets to storage or delivery areas.

Supply the palletizing equipment with empty pallets as required.

Stop the equipment to safely clear jams or blockages.

Report equipment malfunctions or operational issues promptly to the supervisor.

Maintain production and equipment performance records as required.
