Job Description

Inspect all CKD (Completely Knocked Down) and SKD (Semi Knocked Down) kits upon receipt for any visible damage, shortages, or missing components, and report discrepancies to the Plant Manager.

Verify all parts during the opening of CKD/SKD kits to ensure completeness before assembly.

Supervise and inspect the assembly process to ensure compliance with company quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of all two-wheelers and three-wheelers before release for sale.

Inspect assembled vehicles for loose, damaged, or misaligned components, including swing arms, side covers, fasteners, and other fittings.

Ensure all missing, damaged, or defective parts are properly repaired, replaced, documented, and reported.

Start and test vehicles to verify the proper functioning of the engine, steering, transmission, brakes, clutch, and other mechanical systems.

Inspect and verify the operation of electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, lighting, horns, indicators, charging ports, and other electrical accessories.

Inspect painted surfaces, body panels, and fuel tanks for scratches, dents, paint defects, or other cosmetic damage, and coordinate touch-up or repair work where required.

Perform or supervise engine tuning, adjustments, and final calibration as required.

Ensure vehicles are cleaned, polished, and presented in sale-ready condition before dispatch.

Perform final quality checks and pre-adjustments to ensure all fitments are secure and meet company standards.

Supervise installation, inspection, repair, replacement, refitting, and adjustment of vehicle components during assembly and PDI.

Maintain accurate PDI records, inspection reports, battery logbooks, PDI sticker records, and other documentation as per SOP requirements.

Ensure all assembly parts are cleaned during the assembly process in accordance with approved cleaning procedures.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve assembly and PDI inspection procedures to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Ensure the assembly plant and workstations remain clean, organized, and safe at all times by maintaining good housekeeping practices.

Maintain accountability for all tools, equipment, manuals, and measuring instruments, ensuring they are properly stored and kept in good working condition.

Ensure the safe operation and preventive maintenance of workshop equipment, including pneumatic tools, compressors, air lines, locking equipment, and related machinery.

Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any malfunction, unsafe condition, or maintenance requirement to the Plant Manager.

Ensure employees use machinery, tools, and equipment responsibly and report any damage, misuse, or loss immediately.

Supervise employees to ensure work areas and equipment are cleaned and properly maintained upon completion of assigned tasks.

Enforce compliance with workplace safety policies and immediately report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or hazards.

Record inspection findings, vehicle acceptance reports, and quality discrepancies accurately and maintain complete documentation.

Ensure all assembly and PDI activities are completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company quality standards.

Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
