Job Description

Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers, auxiliary equipment, and control systems to ensure the efficient and reliable production of steam in accordance with facility requirements

Conduct regular inspections and perform routine maintenance on boilers and associated equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, controls, and piping systems, to maintain optimal performance and safety.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and repairs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company documentation standards.

Perform water quality tests and administer appropriate chemical treatments to boiler systems as necessary, preventing corrosion and scaling, and ensuring proper water treatment protocols are followed.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues with boilers and auxiliary systems promptly, and report significant malfunctions to supervisors to minimize downtime and maintain safety.

Assist in managing inventory of boiler chemicals, spare parts, and tools, and ensure the boiler room environment is clean, organized, and free of hazards, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
