Requirements and responsibilities

Job Description

Move materials onto and off delivery trucks and other vehicles.

Stacking and Storing: Stack materials like crates, pallets, and lumber as needed.

Move materials to designated storage or delivery areas within the warehouse or industrial site.

Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized. Perform general maintenance on the forklift equipment.

Consult, work, and coordinate with supervisors, managers, equipment manufacturers, and other employees regarding unloading and loading operations.

Report any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or safety hazards to the manager.

Maintain mileage and repair records for the forklift.

Ensure the forklift is in top condition, with all safety systems working properly.

Update route, mileage, and delivery logs accurately.

Report minor and major accidents promptly and complete all necessary documentation.

Track the service and maintenance time for the forklift.

Participate in safety protocols and stay informed about weighbridge operations.

Be adaptable with work hours and assist with additional tasks as needed to support the team.
