Motor Vehicle Mechanics

Job Description

Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on automotive vehicles.

Meet with drivers to understand their concerns, identify reported issues, and determine appropriate solutions.

Assemble and install mechanical components in accordance with technical specifications.

Examine vehicles and oversee diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and functional problems.

Develop and implement action plans for maintenance, repairs, and vehicle upgrades.

Maintain accurate work logs, repair records, and preventive maintenance records.

Monitor spare parts and workshop inventory and raise requests for new parts when required.

Provide guidance and consultation to vehicle users and drivers on proper maintenance and preventive procedures.

Conduct vehicle assessments and advise drivers on issues that may prevent their vehicles from passing inspection.

Ensure all maintenance and repair work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with required standards.
