Mining pay: licence categories before salary claims
Mining is not a single pay category. The legal schedule distinguishes licence groups rather than publishing one salary for every mine worker.

Mainland private sector. These are statutory minimums for the listed categories, not average salaries or take-home pay. They are not a Zanzibar or public-service pay table, and a contract can pay more.
Choose the right category
Check the employing undertaking and applicable licence. The Order definition also excludes salt and limestone production from its mining meaning, so do not allocate those jobs by title alone.
Questions to settle before accepting
Ask about the roster, remote-site accommodation, transport, medical checks, protective equipment and which allowances are conditional. A relocation payment is not a recurring monthly wage.
Make a fair comparison
Compare annual guaranteed cash for the same roster, then separately record site benefits and one-off payments. The statutory floor does not establish a technician or engineer market salary.
