What the adverts show

Twenty-five of the 41 open posts were in Dar es Salaam; the rest were spread across Mwanza, Mbeya, Moshi, Arusha, Zanzibar, Iringa and Kigoma. Most asked for a diploma: 23 adverts named a diploma and 10 an advanced diploma, while 4 asked for a certificate and 5 for a degree. On experience, 24 asked for one to three years and 17 for three to five. See open production and trade roles.

Which minimum applies

The floor follows the employer’s sector. A technician at a factory falls under the industrial row, TZS 200,000 a month in 2026. A technician employed by a building contractor falls under the construction rows, from TZS 398,500 to TZS 515,000 depending on the contractor class, and one at a domestic energy company under that row, TZS 297,000.

Questions that change the number

Ask how the employer grades your trade certificate, whether overtime, night shifts and call-outs are paid on top of the wage, and whether you must supply your own tools. Five of the adverts mention shift work. Machine operators and packers are covered on the factory worker pay page.

Before you accept

Get the basic monthly wage, any shift allowance, the overtime rate and the probation period in writing. Compare offers on the guaranteed amount, then estimate take-home pay with the take-home pay calculator.
