Requirements and responsibilities

Job Description

Operate the detergent plant as per the instructions of the Production Executive, ensuring production efficiency, quality, and safety standards are maintained.

Supervise and guide casual labor, allocating tasks according to the production plan provided by the Production Executive.

Coordinate the movement of raw materials from the Raw Material Store to the Detergent Plant as per production requirements.

Collect, segregate, and effectively utilize off-specification powder in accordance with approved reprocessing procedures.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout all areas of the detergent plant.

Conduct routine inspections of all plant floors, identify abnormalities, and promptly report issues to the Production Executive.

Monitor and clean spillages on the base powder belt, ensuring immediate recovery and utilization of the spilled material where applicable.

Adjust dust collection duct dampers on the first and second floors to ensure optimal dust extraction and plant cleanliness.

Replace damaged cloths and seals near feeding points to maintain operational efficiency and prevent material losses.

Check gearbox oil levels of conveyors and other equipment, and report or perform necessary maintenance activities.

Perform tower cleaning ring operations as required to maintain efficient plant performance.

Inspect all screw conveyors and associated equipment on the second floor regularly to ensure proper functioning.

Monitor the feeding of slurry from the crutcher to the rotating filter and prevent overflow conditions.

Ensure powder spillage is minimized at packing conveyors and drum mixture discharge points.

Collect off-specification powder and ensure timely transfer for reprocessing.

Clean rotating filters, perfume pump strainers, magnetic filters, and other critical equipment at scheduled intervals.

Monitor perfume tank levels and coordinate perfume feeding requirements while preventing spillages and ensuring empty drums are returned to the warehouse.

Immediately inform the Production Executive of any electrical, mechanical, or process abnormalities affecting production.

Ensure unauthorized personnel are not permitted access to the detergent plant control room.

Operate all equipment and processes in compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Proactively suggest improvements to housekeeping practices, process efficiency, and reduction of off-specification powder generation.

Complete a proper shift handover to the incoming operator, ensuring continuity of operations and communication of critical information.

Safeguard company assets, equipment, and materials under your responsibility.

Adhere to all company safety, quality, environmental, and operational policies and procedures.

Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time in support of business operations.
