Bank pay: commercial and community bank minimums
A bank salary discussion should distinguish the type of institution and the employment relationship before comparing figures.

Mainland private sector. These are statutory minimums for the listed categories, not average salaries or take-home pay. They are not a Zanzibar or public-service pay table, and a contract can pay more.
Choose the right category
The schedule separates commercial banks from community services banks. It does not publish graduate-trainee, teller or branch-manager salary bands. A contractor working at a bank is not necessarily employed by that bank.
Questions to settle before accepting
Ask whether the offer is permanent, fixed-term, trainee or outsourced. Separate guaranteed pay from performance bonuses, staff-loan benefits and sales targets.
Make a fair comparison
Compare the contract employer and fixed annual cash before valuing benefits. A favourable loan is useful only if you need it and understand its terms after leaving the job.
