What the adverts show

FHI 360 published one range for each level, and the range did not change with the region. A Regional Technical Officer was offered the same band in Morogoro, Iringa, Njombe, Mtwara, Lindi and Ruvuma; only one Ruvuma advert, for community engagement on TB, set the top at TZS 60,000,000 instead of 65,000,000. The 62 FHI 360 adverts were posted between 22 September and 9 October 2026, and 61 were still open on 12 October.

Basic, gross and monthly

FHI 360 quotes annual basic salary and Laterite gross monthly salary. Divide an annual figure by 12 before you compare it with a monthly offer, and keep basic pay apart from gross pay, which includes allowances. Laterite lists medical insurance, a pension contribution and 21 days of annual leave next to its range.

What moves the number

Level, not place. The bands rise from Regional Technical Officer to Senior Regional Technical Officer, then Regional Clinical Services Coordinator and Senior Technical Advisor. Where an advert states a minimum, the experience asked for runs from four years for some Regional Technical Officer posts to ten years for a Senior Technical Advisor post, and every FHI 360 post asks for a university degree. FHI 360 says it sets each offer by experience and education, internal equity, market pay and budget.

Before you accept

Ask for a written offer with the basic salary, each allowance, the contract end date and the pension scheme. Several adverts ask for experience in donor-funded programmes, so ask how long the funding for your post runs. Then estimate what you keep: PAYE and your pension contribution come out of gross pay. Put the monthly figure into the take-home pay calculator.

The other 506 adverts

The rest of the catalogue gave no amount. Public-service adverts usually print a salary scale code instead, explained in what an advert code tells you. For private employers, the legal floor for each sector is in the minimum wage table.
