Nurse pay in Tanzania: facility type matters
A nursing qualification does not identify the pay category by itself. Start with the employer and the licensed type of facility.

Mainland private sector. These are statutory minimums for the listed categories, not average salaries or take-home pay. They are not a Zanzibar or public-service pay table, and a contract can pay more.
Choose the right category
These are private health-sector floors for establishments, not a published nurse salary scale. A pharmacy row is not a substitute for a hospital row, and none of these figures describes a government nursing grade.
Questions to settle before accepting
Clarify rotating shifts, night duty, on-call arrangements, professional registration costs and responsibility for renewing a practising licence. Ask which payments are guaranteed and which depend on a roster.
Make a fair comparison
Write the fixed monthly wage in one column and roster-dependent allowances in another. Do not budget every possible night allowance as guaranteed income before receiving the actual duty pattern.
